一開始最吸引我的,是它的舞台、燈光及演員的戲服,
這是當你實地去觀賞一部很棒的舞台劇時, 所獲得最直接的視覺享受.
貓劇"The Cats" 是相當有名的, Gammage的演藝廳離我家很近,
常常會有百老匯的歌舞劇的演出, 去年暑假上檔的歌劇魅影我們剛好回台灣,
錯過了! 很幸運的, 這次能觀賞到這麼棒的貓劇.
我應事前先做點功課, 閱讀並了解一些相關的內容,
若能事先了解內容, 你就更能深入並融入其境.
當時很希望,有字幕就好了, 回到家上網查資料才知道,
貓劇在台灣上演過, 還有字幕的耶!
每隻貓有其特色, 在舞台上的歌舞動作活像真的貓.
有老貓, 年輕的貓, 性感貓, 風流貓, 肥貓, 黑貓, 壞貓,流浪貓....
一群貓一起生活在廢棄的垃圾場.
劇中的女主角流浪貓Grizabella為了追求自己的夢想,
而離開了族群, 離棄自己的小孩, 她經歷了風華美麗的年輕時代後,
到了年老力衰時, 只剩下孤獨的自己. 誰能忍受一生的孤單寂寞呢?
當她第一次回到貓群時, 並未觸及"貓心", 了解她的過去的貓排斥他,
她的小孩,風流貓 是隻帥氣貓, 它用牠的歌聲及媚力吸引女性的貓,
而對她的母親Grizabella心懷恨意.
其中的長老貓Old Deuteronomy, 有很多的太太, 她的愛是博愛的,所有的貓都尊敬她,
她從不對任何一隻貓有何批判, 對Grzibrilla的離開僅以尊重她的選擇.
每隻貓兒都有不同的際遇，背後也都有不同的故事。
Grizabella 原本由光鮮亮麗且驕傲的魅貓，流浪歸來，剛開始並不受貓群的接納。後來，在年幼的小貓Jemima用清亮的歌聲回應後， 其他貓兒明白長老Old Deuteronomy對他們講過的話，便原諒了Grizabella，讓她重新回到潔里珂貓群中。黎明到來之前，長老選擇了讓Grizabella升天 獲得重生。
那一首Memory卻讓整場屏氣凝神，最後更是讓人情緒沸騰……感動的讓人落淚.

人在年輕的時後, 都會去追求自己的夢想,
當你經歷過了, 你才會知道什麼叫做幸福,
什麼才是最珍貴的. 那些回憶卻是最深刻的.
